Beanies Needed!!!

Attention Magic Makers!

WE HAVE AN URGENT NEED FOR CROCHETED BEANIES!

We are especially in need of Type 1 red beanies, white beanies, and the Type 2 style blue/white and maroon/blue beanies.

If you are handy at crocheting, we need you! Please pay careful mind to the instructions as we desire the beanies to fit our girls comfortably and as perfectly as possible. Thank you so much for rallying to help all the little girls who are waiting to receive their princess wigs.

Here’s a 5min that explains the details of our beanies…

Thank you so much!blue yarn ball

I have access to lots of variegated red heart yarn. I wondered it I could make make beanies out of this, or would those beanies not be useful for your yarn project ?

My grand daughter, Mackly Campbell received one of your wonderful wigs this year and it has meant so much to her, that I have a desire to help make more of these possible for other little princesses fighting cancer.

Hi Laura! Can you please email Holly to further discuss the yarn you have?! holly@themagicyarnproject.com She should be able to answer your question.

I made Mackly’s wig and have been following her journey through her Mom’s Facebook page – I feel like I know her! She seems so happy and smiley! I just love her! She is almost finished with chemo right? She’s in my thoughts 🙂

Are you still in need of red beanies?

    1. Staff The Magic Yarn Project Reply

Hi Mariana! Our red beanie supply is looking pretty good these days! Of course, more we would gratefully accept more 🙂 Right now, we need white beanies the most!

  8. Daryl Reply

Since I cannot crochet is it possible to knit your beanies and if so do you have any instruction patterns. I would really like to participate for your charity

    1. Staff The Magic Yarn Project Reply

Hi Daryl, as of yet, we have not found a knit beanie pattern that would result in a beanie that would work for our purposes. That doesn’t mean that we may not in the future! We will let everyone know if we ever do find the right knit pattern.

I am Martha Johnson and I am in a sorority that would be honored to help you with this. We are Sigma Lambda Sigma from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste Marie Michigan. I am not very good at crochet, I drop too many stitches but I have become pretty decent at knitting. Is there any knitting patterns for the beanies?

    1. Staff The Magic Yarn Project Reply

Hi Martha! Unfortunately, we do not use a knitting pattern right now 🙁 We would like to in the future though! It is definitely on our To-Do list.
